We were delighted that our school was one of those selected to take part in the Grow At School food education programme, delivered by GIY – Get Ireland Growing – through the Clondalkin Sláintecare Healthy Community.
Thanks to the hard working children of 3rd and 4th class who did a superb job preparing our new vegetable planting boxes. They lined the boxes with a weed membrane and then barrowed 1 tonne of compost into the 4 planters!
They cannot wait to start sowing seeds. There are some very keen gardeners amongst the group. Some even managed to fit in a “tea break”. 🤣
