10th August  2021

Fr. Hugh Kavanagh has just contacted us this morning with a new date for Confirmation.

The Confirmation Ceremony will now take place on Saturday, 4th September 2021.

Mr. Kavanagh’s Class will celebrate Confirmation at 11.00 a.m.
Mr. Watson’s’s Class  will celebrate Confirmation at 12.00 p.m.

Two adults only are allowed in the Church with the Confirmation candidate.

Please ensure that you have registered your child for Confirmation in the Parish Office. You will need to provide a Baptismal Certificate if your child was baptised in another Parish. If your child was baptised in Rowlagh or Neilstown, you will not need a Baptismal Certificate.

We look forward to the day.

CONFIRMATIONS POSTPONED

The government, on advice from NPHET, have announced under new Covid-19 restrictions for July 2021, that Holy Communion and Confirmation ceremonies cannot go ahead, until further notice.

Our two 6th classes were due to be confirmed on Wednesday next, 7th July. Sadly, this cannot go ahead now. The Confirmation ceremony has been postponed.

This news is devastating and we were not expecting it.

It is really disappointing for the whole school community – all of our 6th class pupils, their families, friends, sponsors and also their teachers and SNA’s.

We will let everybody know of any further developments as soon as we hear any news or changes.

Regards,

Jim Ryan

(Principal)

5th May 2021

Dear parents / guardians,

It is with great regret that I have to inform you that the Confirmation ceremony will not be going ahead, as planned, on Thursday 10th June.

Current Covid-19 Public Health Guidelines do not permit any sacraments to take place.

If these guidelines change over the coming weeks the church will rearrange the date.

If this happens we will immediately inform you.

We understand that the pupils in the two 6th classes are going to be very disappointed with this news, which is outside of our control.

Please contact the church office if you have any queries.

Regards,

Jim Ryan

(Principal)
