6th class went on our Confirmation retreat on 11th of May. We got the bus to Glendalough and Sr. Margaret brought us to the local church. It was lashing rain so we didn’t get to walk around the area and see the sights but we learned about the history of the area and St. Kevin. While there the 6th class pupils preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation will partake in a peaceful and reflective retreat in the beautiful Glendalough, Co Wicklow. We sang some songs and had our lunch. We watched a historical and religious DVD on the local area before heading home.
Hopefully the sun will shine down on all of us as we walk through Wicklow’s National Park. We also look forward to the sacrament of Confirmation which will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Rowlagh.
