TRIP TO KILMAINHAM GAOL

Many thanks to Heritage Ireland, OPW – Office of Public Works, and The Irish Landmark Trust for a fantastic & informative visit to Kilmainham Gaol today from 5th Class pupils in St. Bernadette’s Senior School, Quarryvale.
The pupils had a wonderful visit to Kilmainham Gaol today enjoying a journey through Irish history.
The Gaol was preserved as a national monument in the 1960s and restored.
Kilmainham Gaol opened in 1796.
What a fascinating walk through history for the pupils.
A memorable day for all!
